Use several match points for aligning objects [Download Now!]

The program defines a command called HELMERT. It uses conformal (Helmert's) transformation for AutoCAD's objects. The command is similar to ALIGN command but with no limit of identical points (IP). The selected object is transformed in three steps:

  1. Translation from old IP centroid to new IP centroid
  2. Rotation around new IP centroid
  3. Scale with new IP centroid as a base point

The object does not change its figure, the new one is similar to the old one.
The computation is based on the least square method and is capable to  transforms raster images, too. Click here to download.

  1. Extract the ZIP file into a folder within AutoCAD Search Path.
  2. Load DDLIMITS.LSP.
  3. Invoke DDLIMITS. A dialog box appears [Figure].

  1. Enter proper values to set the drawing limits.

Note: This command changes the upper-right corner of the limits and forces the lower-left corner to be 0.000,0.000.
