AutoCAD 2005 Sheet Set Manager:Adding Layouts to a Sheet SetAuthor: Alireza Parsai
Sometimes you need to add more layouts to an existing sheet set. The new layouts are considered as sheets. The following tutorial demonstrates the method of adding a layout to the active sheet set.
Notes: ► Click here for the table of contents. ► This tutorial is designed for AutoCAD 2005. ► In this tutorial user entries are in boldface. ► The ¿ symbol represents pressing Enter. ► Make sure to download the "scarborough_project.zip" file. Unzip the file to C:\.
1. Make sure that the Sheet List tab of the SSM dialog box is active. Right-click on the Scarborough Project title. A shortcut menu will appear. Select "Import Layouts as Sheet".
2. In the "Import Layouts as Sheet" dialog box, click the ellipsis button. Locate the "scarborough_pr0185_power_plan.dwg" file in the "scarborough_project" folder. Click Open. The only layout of the drawing file appears on the list. Click OK to add the layout as a new sheet to the list of SSM.
The preceding tutorial added a new sheet to the sheet set. You may use this method to add as many sheets as you want to the SSM list. If the drawing file does not contain a proper Paper Space layout you have to open the file and define the layout properly. Save the file and then use the preceding method to add the layout as a sheet to the sheet list.
