AutoCAD 2005 Sheet Set Manager:

Cross Referencing Sheets

Author: Alireza Parsai

With the help of callout blocks you can call a sheet within another one. The following tutorial shows you how.

Notes:

►  Click here for the table of contents.

This tutorial is designed for AutoCAD 2005.

In this tutorial user entries are in boldface.

The ¿  symbol represents pressing Enter.

► Make sure to download the "scarborough_project.zip" file. Unzip the file to C:\.

1. Make sure that the Left Elevation sheet is open. On the SSM dialog box select the View List tab. Right-click the "1 – Front Elevation" view. From the shortcut menu select Place Callout Block. Select the only available callout block. Place the block somewhere beneath the view.

2. Place the mouse on top of the callout block text. A tool tip indicates that there is a hyperlink. While pressing the Ctrl key, click the left mouse button. The other sheet (i.e. 1 – Front Elevation) will open. On the View List tab, right-click the "2 – Left Elevation" view. From the shortcut menu, select the "Place Callout Block". Click the only available block. Place the block somewhere on the sheet. Ctrl-click the hyperlink on the block. The other sheet will open. Save and close both sheets.
