This tutorial is designed for AutoCAD 2005.

The ¿  symbol represents pressing Enter.

► Make sure to download the "scarborough_project.zip" file. Unzip the file to C:\.

1. While the "E1-Front Elevation" sheet is open, on the SSM dialog box click the Resource Drawings tab. On the Locations list, double-click the C:\scarborough_project. The list of available drawings will appear. Click the + sign next to the house-views.dwg. The list of named views will appear.

2. Right-click the Front Elevation view. From the shortcut menu select "Place on Sheet". Move the mouse in the drawing area. A preview of the view is shown. Right-click in the drawing area and from the list of scales select 1/8"=1'. Click to place the view inside the plot area.

3. On the SSM dialog box click the View List tab. Click the + sign next to the Elevation. Right-click the Front Elevation option. Select Rename and Renumber. In the "Rename and Renumber View" dialog box type 1 as the view number. Click OK. From the View menu select, Regen. The view number will appear in the view block. Save the file.

4. On the SSM dialog box, select the Sheet List tab and double-click the "E2-Left Elevation" to open it. Use a similar method to steps 17 to 19 and place the Left Elevation view with 1/8"=1' in the sheet. Also renumber this view to 2. Save the file.
